A long awaited super fight between Floyd Mayeather Jr. and Sugar Shane Mosley was just announced by Brian Kenny during the ESPN Friday Night Fights “Curtis Stevens vs. Jesse Brinkely” broadcast.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sugar Shane Mosley have agreed to terms for an upcoming May 1st welterweight super fight at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada on HBO Pay Per View.
Both fighters are promoted by Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions which made negotiations a lot easier.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. was left without an opponent when Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather couldn’t come to terms over a steroid blood testing time table, Pacquiao wanted a 24 day cutoff while Mayweather insisted on a 14 day cutoff.
Manny Pacquiao signed on to face tough African welterweight Joshua Clottey at Dallas Cowboys stadium on March 13, 2010 instead.
