Guatemala hit by heavy rain

The worst rainy season has hit Guatemala, the rain is still coming down and the situation remains critical.

Guatemala’s weather service predicts the higher than average rainfall will not let up for another 12 weeks.

The floods first swept across central Chimaltenango City burying a bus and killing at least ten people.

More than 29-thousand people are thought to have been affected by the rains and 24-thousand could be in danger.
